Bass Manners
A semi-official dissertation on the bass classification system.

1. Nice fish - a fish that displays manners, always acts in a manner respectful to the angler
2. Good fish - when the fish displays more than manners - it displays inner goodness that makes you feel good about yourself and the world you live in. It can turn the world on with a smile. It can take a nothing day and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile.
3. Big fish - depends upon what your other fish have measured. Big fish can theoretically be anything over 12 inches.
4. Beautiful fish - A fish that has obviously gone through the trouble to pretty itself up fer ya.
5. Gorgeous fish - A fish that not only got all "gussied up" but also is a real natural beauty. A scaly equivalent of a supermodel.
6. Monster fish - Ugly
7. Big ol' fish - The bass equivalent of that old, 300# hairy lady in a homemade dress with the varicose veins in her legs that ran the neighborhood Laundromat. Every town has one.
8. Kicker fish - A fish that likes country music or one that knows martial arts.
9. Keeper fish - A fish that you like so much you'd like to take home to meet mama.
10. Anchor fish - A heavy fish that you caught when your anchor hit it and it floated to the top.
11. Lunker - A lunker ('nuff said)
12. Toad - A fish that has warts and jumps a lot.
13. Brute - A really big male bass, usually has a tattoo and pushes shad around.
